Rather than stripping away as much environmental sound as possible, Reveal is designed to find an individualized balance between speech clarity and awareness of your surroundings. Oticon calls this your "balance point," and it reflects the reality that not all background sound is unwanted. The hum of a café, a grandchild playing in the next room, or a car approaching from behind all carry information you may want to keep.

These two systems evaluate your sound environment every two milliseconds, which is faster than the brain registers a change in sound, and work together to blend speech and context in real time. This represents Oticon's third generation of AI-based hearing technology, following Oticon More and Oticon Intent.
The Reveal AI Clarifier is the part of the hearing aid where the dual-AI system does its work, replacing the MoreSound Intelligence terminology used on earlier Oticon platforms. In practical terms, it is the engine that decides, moment to moment, how much emphasis speech should receive relative to everything else you are hearing.
Reveal continues to use Oticon's 4D sensor technology. These sensors take into account your behavior and your listening situation, including head and body movement and conversational activity, before the hearing aid determines how sound should be processed. The result is amplification that responds to what you are actually doing, not just to the acoustics of the room.
Feedback refers to the whistling or squealing that can occur when amplified sound escapes the ear and re-enters the microphone. It is a common frustration, particularly with open or vented fittings that leave the ear canal less blocked.
The Reveal Optimizer is Oticon's updated feedback-prevention system, offering faster and more precise feedback management along with additional high-frequency headroom. Auracast is an emerging standard that allows public venues such as theaters, airports, and places of worship to broadcast audio directly to compatible hearing aids, functioning much like an assistive listening system without any extra equipment on your end.
A new Streaming Comfort feature automatically reduces surrounding environmental sound while audio is streaming to your hearing aids, helping phone calls, music, and podcasts stay clear and prominent. The amount of reduction can be adjusted through the mobile app or set by Dr. Ivory in the fitting software, so the feature can be tailored to how much awareness you want to retain while listening.
A new Oticon CROS transmitter is available with the Reveal platform. A CROS system is designed for patients with little or no usable hearing in one ear. It captures sound on the unaidable side and routes it to the better-hearing ear, restoring access to conversation happening on your weaker side.
The Reveal CROS transmitter uses near-field magnetic induction and Bluetooth Low Energy Audio, supports dual streaming, applies signal processing on the transmitter side, and remains backward compatible with supported Oticon products. Notably, it charges with the same desk and travel chargers as the hearing aids themselves, which simplifies daily routines considerably.
Reveal uses Oticon's premium charging hardware, with both a desktop charger and a portable travel charger available. The platform comes in several standard hearing aid colors, with a new Deep Plum option replacing the previous blue.
