Phonak EON builds on the speech-in-noise strengths of the previous Infinio Sphere platform while addressing one of the most common patient requests: a more compact, comfortable device. EON is 25% smaller and 20% lighter than the previous Sphere generation, packaged in a standard-size rechargeable receiver-in-canal form factor and available in eight color options.

The platform is organized around three core benefits: adaptive clarity, unlimited connectivity, and intuitive design. It supports the full spectrum of hearing loss, from mild through profound.

Hearing Speech Clearly in Noisy Places

The heart of EON is Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0, powered by the new Hypersonic processing chip. This technology uses dedicated AI processing to separate speech from background noise, enhance the speech signal, and then reintegrate it for clearer listening in difficult environments such as busy restaurants and social gatherings.

In Phonak's testing, this delivers up to 50% better speech understanding compared with advanced directional microphone technology, along with up to 37% less listening effort. Users are also up to two times more likely to understand speech coming from any direction. Importantly, EON makes this feature available across three performance levels rather than only the top two, extending premium speech processing to a wider range of budgets.

Modern hearing aids should adapt to your environment without requiring you to fiddle with settings. EON's AutoSense OS AI 8.0 and APD 4.0 are designed to react more quickly and intelligently as your listening situation changes, preserving clarity and sound quality automatically.

In practical terms, this means faster adaptation when you move between quiet and noisy settings, improved signal-to-noise ratio during sudden changes, and more consistent activation of Spheric Speech Clarity. The system is designed to keep speech processing active in more situations where it previously might not have engaged.

Less Wind Noise When You're Outdoors

For patients who spend time outdoors, wind noise can be a significant frustration. WindBlock 2.0 reduces the turbulence created when wind passes across the microphones while still preserving access to speech and environmental sound.

EON offers more than all-day battery performance, delivering up to approximately 22 hours even with demanding use that includes streaming and time in noisy environments. A full charge from empty takes roughly 2.5 hours. For patients on the go, an optional portable charging case with its own built-in battery allows recharging away from home.

Connectivity, Roger, and Auracast

EON's Era connectivity chip supports broad Bluetooth compatibility and allows the hearing aids to function as a hands-free headset for calls and video conferencing. Connectivity highlights include:
