Four AI Networks Working Together

Most hearing aids use artificial intelligence for a single job, usually reducing background noise. Signia MaX takes a broader approach with what the company calls Acoustic Intelligence, a system of four task-specific Deep Neural Networks that run at the same time and continuously share information. Each network handles a different part of the listening picture: one detects speech and conversation partners, one recognizes when you are speaking, one analyzes the overall environment, and one evaluates the type and location of background noise.

Working together, they give the hearing aids a more complete understanding of what is happening around you before deciding how to process sound. MaX stands for Multi-adaptive Xperience, the next step forward from Signia's previous Integrated Xperience (IX) platform.

Built for Difficult Group Conversations

Following a conversation when several people are talking and noise is coming from every direction is the single biggest challenge for people with hearing loss. MaX is specifically designed for these moments. It locates and enhances multiple conversation partners as the discussion moves around the table, recognizes your own voice so it sounds natural without a separate calibration step, and adjusts how firmly it reduces noise based on whether you are actively in conversation.

In Signia's own research, participants performed better with MaX in noisy group settings compared with competing devices. These are manufacturer-cited results, so Dr. Ivory views them as promising evidence that still needs to be weighed alongside independent testing and your individual performance.

Broad Connectivity in One Device

MaX uses Signia's OneConnect Technology, which combines several wireless and assistive-listening options in a single hearing aid: Bluetooth Classic, Bluetooth LE Audio, telecoil connectivity, and Auracast-capable hardware. This gives you unusually broad flexibility across smartphones, streaming devices, and loop systems found in many public venues.

The device includes the hardware for Auracast, an emerging standard that broadcasts audio directly to hearing aids in places like theaters and airports. Signia has stated that full Auracast functionality will be enabled through a firmware update in the Signia One app by March 2027, so this capability is built in and ready for when it activates.

All-Day Rechargeable Power

The Pure Charge&Go MaX is rechargeable and available in eight color options. It ships with a pocket-size portable charger that stores up to four full additional charges. A complete charge takes about four hours, and a quick 30-minute charge provides up to six hours of use, which is convenient when you are heading out and short on time.
